OMG, it’s June already?

I apologise, truly, for neglecting my own blog for 4 months!

I did not intend to leave this blog on hiatus but I guess I had too much to do for the past months – let me see, the annual Perhentian Island trip, entered into a few marathons, my first-time experience of participating in a nature challenge race in Langkawi and the one-week long break in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, etc. You see, that explained why I did not have the time to update this blog.

I have so MUCH to tell! Too much until I think I cannot put them in writing anymore and it will soon go away from this small brain of mine. Whilst logging in wordpress today (don’t ask me why I decided to write in my blog today!), I had to try so many times because I freaking forgot my freaking password. Oh hell, I’m getting old and I do not like it! Pffftt.

I have to take my shower now, ta people! Wait for my next entry (if I decide to continue, hahaha, I’m useless, I know!)

 

 

 

 

Singapore, in a nutshell

Ms. Paranoid and Ms. Klutz came back from Singapore last weekend and below are what one of them has to say about the country whilst she was there visiting Sallymelley.

Hotel : Hmm, very nice. Located somewhere near the financial district area called Amara Tg. Pagar and the MRT is just 2-mins walk from the hotel.

Best shopping experience : Takashimaya and Paragon. But wait, the Candy Empire shop at VivoCity too!

Weirdest layout of a shopping complex : Wheelock Place and The Heeren. Strange.

Best place to walk after dinner : From Lau Pa Sat square, gawking at the skyscrapers, imagining that it is similar to Fleet Street (one of the buildings has Ermegildo Zegna boutique, speaking of how convenient it is to men out there), passing through the Merlion, Fullerton Hotel, overlooking the Esplanade, Singapore Flyer, then along the Boat Quay/Clarke Quay (almost) before ending up at Starbucks Bugis sipping frappes. 

Best place to eat good food : Banquet, near Bugis (or another outlet is at VivoCity) and Zam Zam Restaurant, Arab Street.

The most expensive restaurant we went to : Ulu-Ulu Restaurant, Night Safari (hahaha).

Best bargain : Bugis Village-lah, where else! Hmm, also at Fair Price NTUC in front of the hotel for ’2 for the price of 1′ Arnott’s Tim Tam! Very kiasu, I know!

Longest train and bus ride for a return journey : From Tg. Pagar station to Choa Chu Kang (East) station – took us probably 40-mins. Then waited for a 928 bus to Mandai (Zoo and Night Safari) – another 20-mins. Coming back, took a bus to Ang Mo Kio – I forgot how long it was, bloody tired already. Then took the train heading to Tg. Pagar but realised that it was already near midnight (last train was at 11.++pm). Instead of taking the nearest route to Tg. Pagar, we took the opposite route which means we were making a big loop of the track. Decided to stop in Yishun to ‘fuck it’ and hailed a cab instead back to Tg. Pagar. Ho hum.

Best lines to be remembered during the trip : 1. “Oh, it’s a civet, you know ‘chi-vet’?” 2. “Eh, minah tu ‘butch’ eh?”

Off for the weekend

Oh dear, I am off to Singapore for the weekend. Am planning to do some walking, shopping, visiting, shopping and shopping again! Hahahaha

The weather can be hot and I worry now because I have steroids on my face! Bah!

Will be back with lots of pictures, hopefully. And, Happy Valentine’s Day to all lovebirds out there! This year, Mr. T is getting a boxful of cupcakes so that he will always remember me when I am not around this weekend. Poof!
